Restraining Orders

The Superior Court grants restraining orders to protect people from physical or sexual abuse, threats, stalking, and harassment. The purpose is to order the aggressor to end the impermissible conduct under penalty of arrest. The court order can include anything from personal conduct orders prohibiting specific types of conduct, to stay-away orders requiring the aggressor to maintain a minimum distance, to move-out orders requiring the aggressor to vacate the premises.
